Harvest
Our experience shows that the amount of fish in the area is good, and that those who come to fish with us often catch just as much, if not more, than at more well-known fishing spots. There are also few other recreational fishermen in the area, which means that you have the whole ocean almost to yourself.
Open sea fishing
Seabed ridges, sandbanks, channels, edges, cliffs, and plenty of fish. There are opportunities to catch large ling, cod, pollock, halibut, and more. As long as the weather is favorable, there is a good chance of catching big fish. Fortunately, it's a short distance from Lille Herstrand to the sea.
Inbetween the archipelago
Halibut, plaice, redfish, anglerfish, catfish, and many other species swim between the islets and reefs, hunting for food. It's inshore where we've caught the biggest halibut. You don't need to travel far or for a long time to have the chance to catch big fish.

We have arranged for sportfishing as well
Of course, we welcome groups of fishermen to Lille Herstrand. A stainless steel filleting table with sink and running water has been installed in the boathouse, and a freezer is available for our guests. This can be used by our guests by prior arrangement. For groups that wish to fish, we recommend that you buy your supplies locally and that you follow the rules for fishing in Norway, including size limits for halibut and restrictions on the amount of fish that can be taken home.
